CHARLES P. KELLY, IV - In 2001, Mr. Kelly began his legal career in the Commercial Litigation Department of a large New Jersey based law firm specializing in business transactions and litigation. Thereafter, Mr. Kelly pursued his entrepreneurial interests through his involvement in a start-up real estate development and construction company, during which time he also served as Corporate Counsel to a long-haul trucking company with coast-to-coast operations in the continental United States. From 2009 until founding Kelly Law, P.C., Mr. Kelly served in the Construction Law Department of a prominent law firm with a national presence and renowned reputation.
From 1998 - 2001, while attending Seton Hall School of Law as a member of the evening division, Mr. Kelly held the title of Courtroom Deputy to the Honorable Alfred J. Lechner, Jr., U.S.D.J., gaining invaluable experience and understanding of federal court practice and procedures. Throughout his tenure at the District Court in Newark, NJ, Mr. Kelly received many honors and awards from both the Clerk of the Court and Judge Lechner.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University in 1994, and prior to attending law school, Mr. Kelly gained hands-on experience in the construction industry as a Project Superintendent for a New Jersey based steel company specializing in miscellaneous and structural steel fabrication and installation throughout the tri-state area.
